"Sounds of Freedom brings together some of the country's best-known musicians to share their thoughts on spirituality and social change. Laurie Anderson, the Indigo Girls, Michael Franti, Michelle Shocked, and seven other musicians from a wide range of genres discuss their motivations and commitments to peace, justice and happiness. Never before have such a variety of recording artists -- from Hip-Hop, punk, rock, jazz, and classical -- appeared together in a single forum to openly discuss their experiences with social change and spiritual growth.
